{"id":335,"onChainId":155,"chainId":42161,"title":"Teach Someone Bitcoin and Inflation: The One Question Bounty","description":"## Why this matters\nOur goal is for our content to cumulatively teach 100,000 people around the world how money, inflation and bitcoin work. It's what brought us together, so let's talk about it.\n\nSee what it looks like: https://wethem.xyz/watch/a-computer-science-student-learns-bitcoin-howard#t=57\n\nMore at wethem.xyz/onequestion\n\n## The task\nTeach one person how bitcoin, inflation and fiat money relate, in one continuous shot, then show on camera that they learned it. If they don't clearly know more at the end than at the start, it doesn't count.\n\n## On camera, in this order\n1. Say: \"I'm [name] and I'm reporting with We Them Media and poidh from [place] on [date].\"\n2. Ask your guest: \"What's your name, how old are you, and where are you from?\"\n3. Ask: \"What is inflation, and what do you think bitcoin has to do with it?\"\n4. Teach: what inflation is, what fiat money is and why more can be made, and what bitcoin is, including its fixed supply of 21 million and what that does and doesn't do about inflation. Say plainly that bitcoin's price swings a lot and people disagree on whether it protects anyone's money. Teach, don't sell.\n5. Ask them to explain it back in their own words, then ask:\n   - What does inflation do to the money you have?\n   - Why can more fiat money be made, but not more bitcoin?\n   - What would you want to know before you trusted bitcoin to protect your money?\n6. Ask: \"If you could ask people around the world one question, what would you ask?\" Then: \"How would you answer it?\"\n7. Guest says: \"I'm [name] and you can post this.\"\n8. Spell your social handles, Instagram first (or put them in your Farcaster post).\n9. End with: \"If you enjoyed this video or learned something, go to wethem.xyz to support more work like this. Thank you for watching!\"\n\n## How to enter\n1. Upload to your own YouTube channel. Title: Teaching [name] Bitcoin and Inflation | your city, country. First line of the description: Filmed for the Teach It bounty from We Them Media and poidh: wethem.xyz/onequestion. Public, embedding on, not made for kids.\n2. Post the link on Farcaster in /wethemmedia and tag @wethemmedia and @poidhxyz.\n3. Submit a claim here with a screenshot of your Farcaster post, the link to it, and your favorite thing about the video in a sentence or two.\n\n## The pot\nAt the end, the whole pot is split evenly between all qualifying posts. It is not given to the best. It starts small, and other contributions are expected: add to it, and watch it grow as more people teach. Only 5 of your videos count toward the money. Payouts go out by hand after poidh's 2.5% and network fees, each with its transaction posted. Maceo may add bonus awards any week, so it pays to play.\n\nThis is a virtuous cycle. Every video teaches someone, inspires the next person to make one, and adds to the pot. The videos are the proof of work: educational, and entertaining enough that people want to watch.\n\n## Rules\n- One take. No cuts, speed changes or stitching. We check the file.\n- Filmed after this bounty opens. A different guest in each video; friends are fine.\n- A real person learning. No scripts, actors, coaching off camera or AI.\n- A child on camera needs a parent or guardian's OK on tape; we never publish a child's name, handle or location.\n- No investment advice or price predictions. The guest is never paid for their answer.\n- You allow We Them Media and poidh to use and share your video and cut Shorts from it, with credit to you.\n\nCloses Thursday, December 10th @ 11:59 pm PST. Passing list by December 12th, payouts by December 17th.\n\nHave fun. Be kind and be a contribution to your community.\n\nLearn more and support the work: wethem.xyz/onequestion\n#LetsQueryTheWorld\n","amount":"11100000000000000","issuer":"0x7cccff608dda05bde58a28b6910ebc78aea1d4a3","createdAt":"1791961422","inProgress":true,"isJoinedBounty":true,"isCanceled":false,"isMultiplayer":true,"isVoting":false,"deadline":null,"ban":[],"extra":{"bountyId":335,"chainId":42161,"album":"wethemmedia"},"status":"in_progress","statusLabel":"In progress","statusEmoji":"💰","acceptingClaims":true,"votingInProgress":false,"voteResolved":false,"voteStartedAt":null,"voteResolution":null,"winningClaim":null,"hasClaims":false,"hasParticipants":true,"priceUsd":25.36206,"currency":"eth","url":"https://poidh.xyz/arbitrum/bounty/335","skillUrl":"https://poidh.xyz/skill.md","docsUrl":"https://docs.poidh.xyz/","githubUrl":"https://github.com/picsoritdidnthappen/poidh-app","claims":[],"comments":[]}
