Somewhere near you, a plug socket looks shocked, a house looks sleepy, or a kettle is quietly judging you. Find one, photograph it, and give it a name.
How to enter
- Find a face in an everyday thing that isn't meant to have one: a socket, the front of a car, a cloud, a knot in wood, a pan, a building.
- Take a photo of it yourself, as you found it.
- Claim here with the photo as your claim image. Put your face's name in the claim title ("Gerald, who has just seen the electricity bill"). In the description, say what it is and roughly where you found it. A town is plenty.
- Posting it on Farcaster or X too is welcome, not required.
Rules
- A real photo you took. No AI images, no screenshots, no edits beyond a crop.
- Don't add the face: no drawn-on eyes, stickers or googly eyes. It has to be there already.
- One claim per person.
- Claims close Tuesday 20 October, 11:59pm UTC.
What wins
The face I can't unsee, with the best name. Expression beats camera quality.
How it pays
This is an open bounty, so anyone can add to the pot.
- If nobody adds to it, I pick one winner and pay by Friday 23 October, 11:59pm UTC.
- If anyone adds to it, poidh pays through a contributor vote. I put my pick to the vote by Wednesday 21 October, 11:59pm UTC. The vote runs 48 hours, everyone who funded votes in proportion to what they put in, and the winner is paid when it passes: by Friday 23 October, 11:59pm UTC. If a vote fails, I put the next pick to a vote straight away.
At payout I'll post every entry together in one gallery, each with its name, in /poidh.
